Wilfred Dolfsma is sinds 2015 hoogleraar Innovation & entrepreneurship, en directeur van het Glendonbrook Institute for Enterprise Development. Voorheen was hij hoogleraar Strategie & Innovatie aan de School of Economics & Business van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Hij is er directeur van het SOM onderzoeksprogramma Innovation & Organization. Hij is hoofdredacteur van de Review of Social Economy. In 2013 verschenen van zijn hand: Government Failure (Edward Elgar Publishing) en Interdisciplinary Economics - Kenneth E Boulding's Engagement with the Sciences (Routledge).
